Willie Wonka Was

It's the morning after. That tough time when all actors feel a bit down. But, oh, it was great in the moment.

Beatrix had the title role in Willie Wonka Jr. After weeks of rehearsals and set preparations and more than a few tears, many from Janelle's eyes, last night was SHOW TIME!!!!.

It was a full house. The actors acted beautifully, the dancers danced gracefully and the stage crew were suitably swift and dressed in black. Here are a few pictures.

The beautiful set and props were the work of Janelle, her Dad, Vic, and other stray in-laws.

Janelle was given special recognition at the end for all of her hard work on sets, props, and crew training over the four years the girls have been at Hearst Elementary. Then the family descended on Thomas Sweets for an after show banana split.

So this morning it's off to school as usual. Or sort of as usual.
