Then, just out the front door, about 50 steps and into the Metro.
With Grandma and her trusty map, no GPS for us, we can navigate any city in the world. First stop the Musee Nissim De Camondo. This fabulous house was built to house a wealthy banker's 18th century art collection. It also represented the gentile lifestyle of the 18th century aristocracy.
We are so lucky to have a 12 year old Grand daughter who loves this stuff. This family were a popular family who enjoyed life in Paris through 2 1/2 generations until the fact that they were Jewish resulted in their end in WW II. A sad story really.
After a quick lunch, we went to a beautiful park to rest our old members' legs for a bit.
Then we strolled through a very prosperous neighbourhood and emerged at L'Arc de Triomphe.
Ngila and Grandad climbed all the way to the top. Grandma cheated and took the elevator. But her view was just as good as ours.
Watching the traffic swirl around the base if this beautiful building confirmed the concept of miracles.
So we were at the top of society, and the top of the city. It was beautiful from both views.
