Explorations #2

Monday was a gray and blustery day so we set off up the centre of the peninsula. This was a beautiful drive through rolling hills and multitudinous sheep. The sheep are marked to make them easier to sort out in the fall. These were the most interesting markings we saw.

We passed through a series of dips and ridges and stopped from time to time for photos. This was on the Ballaghasheen Pass. The wind was howling around this rock as two old coots grinned and shivered on top.

We carried on into Killarney to find a larger grocery store for the week’s provisions. Then we moved on another road back to Sneem where the blood pudding thing took place and back home. Here are some pictures.

  1. looks like rough country. The clic of the ribbon of lake fading into the distant mist is a winner. Definitely a lock for 2nd place honourable mention in a photo contest. Thanks G
