Do What The Taxi Driver Says

On our way into the city from the airport last Saturday, we passed this very interesting looking building. Our driver said it was called the Pearl - a geodesic dome atop 6 huge hot water tanks. He told us the dome housed an expensive "tourist" restaurant and we were not to eat there as the chef had told out driver the food wasn't very good.

But we were to go there for ice cream and to see the view of the city.

So, while J&V were off for the day having further adventures up and down volcanos, we followed our taxi driver's instructions and had fabulous ice cream while enjoying the great view.
