Sunday, September 9th, 2012, the official start to our next adventure.
We have had a wonderful summer in Edmonton with our dear family. Yesterday we celebrated a group birthday bash for all of us birthdayers that will soon be having our real birthdays, Liam on the 14th of October, Beatrix on the 16th, me,(George) on the 30th and Ngila on the 1st of November. Wonderful food was consumed thanks to Janelle, and presents were presented.
This morning we shared a fabulous farewell breakfast put together our good friend David Graham. Breakfast sandwiches to die for and scrambled eggs along with bacon and ham and bake oatmeal. Yummy.
It made it special because David and his wife Kathryn and sweet little Samwise are soon off to Singapore. Jim and Kathy, David's parents were able to be there as well.
Later, Sheelagh and I joined Kathy for the drive back to High River. On Tuesday we will leave from Calgary to fly to Glasgow where we will join up with our Aussi friends the Kemisters to wander all over Scotland to islands and castles that we have never seen before.
We have recently had our son Dorian go off to University in St Andrews Scotland, so we will be seeing him a bit as well. Anyway, here we go and I hope that at least a few of you will join us along the way.
