The Ravings Of A Dulce Muddled Mind

People come from all over the world to study the geology of this island. It has more different kinds of rocks than you can shake a stick at. In order to keep up our end of the conversation at the next soiree, when talk turns to Hutton's Unconformity and sills, we went for a tramp along our beach to see The Doon.
Along the way, we passed several skerries.
The Doon is an example of rocks that went up, a sill. A skerry is an example of rocks that went sideways into the ocean, a dyke That is our contribution to the table talk. We weren't the only ones trying to find shelter from the wind.
The tidal pools are brown from the peat. Fall in one and you'll end up a bog person living in the National Museum of Scotland
We brought home supper for tonight.

Jellyfish and dulce. Yum!

Oh by the by. They mail their letters in rocks here.

This one's going,  "Down under.'

  1. well, I now have a glimmer of why you get invited to so few soirees. Could it be your conversational skills (have I told you about Hutton's Unconformity?)? Or your social skills (we went for a tramp). Please, GHS, leave the tramps be! Sounds like a great day :)
