We moved for the last time Saturday. From Dungloe in Co Donegal to the middle of nowhere in Co Cavan. The country side has changed dramatically from the rocky coast with it's peat bogs and heather covered mountains to rolling green pastoral scenes. We drove around Lough Erne having a cut lunch along the way.
The Lough, which is a huge body of water in the middle of Ireland, was the highway in medieval times. All the monasteries were built on the islands in the Lough and people rowed their way between. We saw a couple of great round towers.
The tourist season is over and we're finding things closed.

A cut lunch - hope it included a packet of crisps.
