Airshow Day

Today dawned sunny and warm. It was a perfect day to squint into the sky and cover your ears. This was the opening of the 25th Eastbourne Airshow. The streets around Jan and Brian's house filled up early and parking was at a premium. People carried chairs and lunches to the seaside to enjoy the activities.

We walked down to the centre of town where there were displays for each of the military branches and specialists such as bomb disposal.

Here you see Sheelagh using a controller to operate a bomb disposal robot. The officer in charge told us that the various units were called out almost every day.

There were bits and pieces of the Horse Guard uniforms and it was shocking how heavy they were.
One charming horse guard caught Sheelagh's eye.

Lego waster with a lego cockpit.

At 1 o'clock there were parachuters and then the red arrows and helicopters zipping about.

It was a great day that we all enjoyed very much.
