This was Bea's teacher, Aurora.
This was the menu.
The class was comprised of a family from Atlanta/Israel, a mother and two sons from California and Bea and Sheelagh.
It was well organized with everyone being given tasks to do. It seems the two teenage sons from California nearly drove Bea mad with their inept efforts to separate eggs. She restrained herself from jumping in and doing it for them. She helped a small boy cut strawberries. He was 5 and so proud to be using a knife.
Sheelagh and Bea were working on the gnocchi, making fettuccine, pizza dough, cutting vegetables and helping with the tiramisu.
When all of the four courses were completed, the group sat down and enjoyed the fruits of their labour. Reports are that it was an excellent meal.
This was one very special treat for Grandma to enjoy with our family foodie.
Unfortunately, Grandad had to do with a Panini el pollo from a restaurant. Poor sod.
what a great adventure! So let's see if I got this right: the boys worked on separating the eggs, while S & B worked on gnocchi, making fettuccine, pizza dough, cutting vegetables and helping with the tiramisu (not to mention slicing strawberries). I would love to join S &B in the kitchen anytime: and I will separate the eggs from the shells all day long.
